as I write in the article, Mob has more benefits than just the “no-review”. The “no-review” just totally hit me.

Well, we didn’t come with the Mob. I’m unable to quickly find the origin, but according to wiki, Mob is here at least since 2002.

The story of introducing pair programming and later mob into Verotel company is many years old. One colleague wrote code, second made review, first one changed something and replied, second replied again… they ping-ponged for ~10 times and the code still wasn’t merged. Then luckily another colleague entered the situation and asked “What the hell is going on? Why don’t You just sit together and do the job togehter?!” And it was the first time they paired. And since it worked really well, they spread the pair-programming into company, and later even Mob.
